What can i expect with a rating given as 2?

2 means expectation meet. 1 is exceptional which they only give in rare scenarios as they have to share lot of justification itseems. And if it's less than a year then they won't give for sure. As it's only 3 rating system nothing much can be done. Probability of getting 1 is low and I we get once we might not get for couple of years.

I see that’s whats happening here.
Some who are promoted last year are taking light work and not putting in efforts because they knew they would be getting a low rating no matter what.
I don’t understand how employees are happy with this?!

how must a rating of 2 taken? My manager says no negative feedback is given to me at all when asked to justify my rating.
he says it’s too early to give a 1, but i went above and beyond in many tasks and never performed like a new comer.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. Finally had a breakdown over infertility this AM and trying to pull myself together for Zoom. My tests are fine, but husband can’t deliver during my fertile window. I feel so hopeless with every month that goes by, and he doesn’t have any sense of urgency when HE is the one who wants kids more than I do. Just needed to vent.
