What keeps you motivated during difficult times. I find that ability to teach itself is a strong motivator.

I always try to take some time for myself during breaks - even if its 10 minutes. Remind yourself why you do this job, and the pleasure that it brings you. I personally believe teaching is one of the hardest jobs, you can do this!

I find the comfort in knowing I'm helping shape the next generation is a strong motivator. A lot of children these days need guidance and proper leadership to understand how to go on in life. I know our jobs don't pay much, but I find happiness in knowing I'm helping.

I am motivated knowing that art is a real outlet for a lot of students and that encouraging their creativity can set them up well for their future!

My paycheck. Without it I’m homeless. 😀. And I do love what I am doing!

Hey handsome

I have to connect myself to my "why" and remind myself that "I am not my job". I have to fill my cup first. I also take time at the end of the day to just sit and be still in my room.

I need some expert advice. I have 40k in 401k and 40k cash in savings account. I moved all 401k to a very low return safe portfolio in July and basically I haven't done anything with the cash as well.

Starting to feel like I am missing out on returns and now is the time to put everything back into the market. Does anyone know reliable financial advisors that will do it for me and also account for the independence related restrictions.

Other suggestions/tools appreciated as well.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever started a new job and thought what the hell am I getting myself into?!?
If it was the wrong fit how long did you grin and bear it? 6 months / 1 year / longer?
Did it get better with time or worse? (For instance just a case of lack of know-how)
If you left did you find securing a new job difficult due to only being there for so little time?
