Bain & Company Hello, I received an offer as a Senior Practice Manager at Bain. The profit sharing range is 0-12% in the offer letter. Is it typical to receive the midpoint (6%)? Also, what do the annual salary increases typically look like? Any insights are much appreciated. Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company
McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).

AP.
AP I think. But this is not traditional track, will be expert track at bcg.
Expert track role Same level as managing director but without the equity. Comp wise a bit higher than partner

I think you mean Partner & Associate Director, which is an expert consulting track role at BCG. It's roughly equivalent to the (non-equity) "Partner" role on the BCG generalist consulting track at BCG. Both P&AD and Partner roles participate in profit share, and can take on some internal leadership roles. It's one step above Principal, and one step below Partner & Director, which is the most senior role on the expert track, roughly equivalent to an L1/L2 Managing Director & Partner (in comp, but still no equity or voting rights). Hopefully that's enough info to map onto the McK equivalent. Assuming Senior EM at McK maps onto Principal at BCG, then one level above that, which sounds like it's AP
Understood. Awkward. I’m confident my terminology above is correct - I can believe that a recruiter or practice area manager got the word order mixed up. There are a few other senior non-consulting roles that have “Director” in them, but I’m pretty sure the only ones that also include the “Partner” name are the P&AD and P&D ones described above. N.B. For these senior expert roles, hiring is more likely to be driven by a specific Practice Area in an office or region, rather than the Office/System leadership.
It is a partner. The way BCG expert tracks works: associate director year 1-2 = BCG principal; associate director year 3-4 = BCG partner ( not an equity partner); PAD is the next level = first year managing director and partner. In reality, MDP typically has a stronger position in making decisions, etc. but, it should provide you with some baseline
