Reasonable people. They are great.
Only worked with folks on the commercial side, but they were all smart and seemed like good people (going out of the way to make deadlines later in the week so we weren’t working weekends). No idea on comp
Worked with them a few years back. Seems like a great place to work. People are smiling and laughing walking the hallways, leaving meetings, etc
Many people have been there for a long time. 5, 10, 20yrs. To me that shows it as a positive. (many people had stock options when it was like $10 so likely some are financially independent or at least a large windfall)
Lots of little things that make it a positive environment. Really strong positive corporate culture.
- Lots of catered lunches (with desserts like brownies and cookies), fresh fruit and granola bars throughout the week on specific days,
- routine corporate gifts like fleece jackets, water bottles, tote bags, etc
- in house complimentary coffee shop (coffee, tea, smoothies)
- tennis courts, basketball courts, open fields thwt people play sports after work (sometimes during work)
- clubs like running club, fitness, bootcamp, cricket etc
- buildings are nice lots of natural light, potentially lots of walking between buildings, high quality equipment, office space etc.
- in summertime they have ice cream trucks one day a week with complimentary hand dipped ice cream, soft serve, italian ice
- lots of cultural clubs/events to celebrate holidays with food, snacks, presentations
- company picnics (i think one for each season.) where employees bring their familes and kids. Bands, free food, bounce house, beer, wine, face paint, ice cream, snacks, etc.
- quirky events like cheesy Hawaiian T Shirt Day
Their founders still run the company. They are MDs. That understand science AND business and do not just care about the bottom line $.
Lots of smart people and it seems like most people actually care about their job and the goal of the whole company to create medicine to help people.
I have not met a "lifer" who exists just to get a paycheck. That some other pharmas have.
Work to death dependent on which part of organization. -former employee
Interesting! Would love to hear more about your end of things hahaha maybe I should bounce on out of this industry
