Tell him what you want he can’t read your mind.

I dated some really amazingly good guys, but they could never keep my attention. I just got bored being spoiled and coddled. I kept going back to this magnetic attraction to this kinda aloof guy that challenged me and respected my independence. Mr. Aloof and I have been together for 20 years now, married 13. He has bought me flowers exactly twice in our entire relationship. It’s not a storybook romance, but it’s what makes me happy. I think you need to figure out what you need on a fundamental level and go from there.
Read up on the five love languages. I’m generally not into this woowoo self help type stuff, but I find the five languages concept very true. He may not be loving you the way that you need to be loved.
Maybe you’re naturally a giver instead of a receiver. As in, you need to feel needed/wanted to feel chemistry.

Can you explain this more? I can’t tell if this is me
Yes, there is something MORE. It is Spiritual. We are all in need of a Spiritual Love, and that is found in Christ.
Heart wants what it wants. Can’t make sense of it. I feel the same. Prob doomed.
I highly recommend individual and/or couples therapy! I’m sure nothing is wrong with you, but there might be dynamics at play contributing to your feeling that something is missing. A good counselor could help you gain some insight into why you might be feeling this way and some possible avenues forward. I don’t think anyone is doomed.
I relate to this. Do you have a history of abusive relationships? I’ve found myself appreciating my husband’s stability, but I felt like you for a while.
I have the opposite problem. Grass is always greener
Plan something spontaneous - book a hotel room, buy some lingerie, after you surprise him tell him you’d like to spice things up on the regular.
Taking a wild stab out here, but I’m gonna assume no kidz and no religion.
Well, the kids one equals “booming laughs and happy moments” (although there will also be low lows). The religion one gets at your confusion about what’s going on. Google religion + marriage.
