Rising Star

I was asked to oversee a particularly challenging deadline based project for the district (with additional compensation) while having to continue everything else I do. I was successful, but more importantly I learned both my worth and my limits.

I work 1-1 with an ESL student with reconstructed clef pallet, she has had TIER 1 phonics for past 2 yrs. This school yr I began TIER 2, and right before Christmas break she began “uttering” sounds! I could vaguely hear her, but she said them! All the yrs of speech pathology and interventions are coming to fruition! I’m so excited for her going forward!

It’s the “little” victories…

There isn't one single moment that stands out, but there were a lot of small victories that meant something to me. When you can convince kids to ignore their phones for a while and read something worthwhile, and you feel like they really got it, it's heartening. In the battle for attention, some old books can still win if you encourage people to read them.

Fishes, how were the appraisals in general at Deutsche Bank for roles in Mumbai location? Understand that they got concluded only recently so it will be interesting to know. My partner and I bought our home back in 2020. We got a good deal, low rate. But we want to move into a more spacious SFH. However, as we all know this market is crazy. Everything we want costs $620k+ and bc of rates it makes our mortgage estimates $3500+. We are currently paying $2k. And it looks we need to sell the house simultaneously as look for a new one or our contingency isn’t as attractive. I know it’s based on personal circumstances. But what would you do? - not move, sell and buy?

Are there any other deductions apart from this?
