My boss is always making last minute changes to my schedule. Adding shifts or asking me to cover for other people. Any advice on how to handle this? I want to be a team player but the last minute changes stress me out.

How far in advance do you advise your assistant that you will need them to efile something? I get pushback from my assistant about not giving adequate notice when I tell her in the AM that I will need her to file something in the PM. For context, this is just a regular motion (not for SJ or anything complicated). Also, I always prepare my own exhibits and supporting documents, so I just need her to file the final PDFs. Does anyone else experience this? Are my expectations unreasonable?

CTC dilemma:
I have 13 yoe . I am working with a global Bank for past 9 years . My current CTC is about 18 LPA which is bit on lower consider side considering existing market conditions. At my experience level , CTC should be around 30 LPA or more . I am getting offers however HR speaks only about 30% hike over CTC . How can I correct my CTC as per market.

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film.
