The more we are exposed to it, the easier it becomes to spot. There’s no novelty anymore and as humans, we are pretty good at pattern recognition. We evolved for it.
Everyone, even old people will become better at spotting it as easy as one spots a $3 dollar bill.
The OnStrategy podcast made a good point. A lot of the famous Coke Christmas ads were heavily computer animated anyway. Those weren’t real polar bears right? For some brands that rely heavily on those kinds of ads it might be fine to replace with AI. Something like Cricket wireless. But not the bulk of other ads that tell rich stories with humans.
Rich human stories like: tell you a joke, sell you a weed whacker, end card?
Now they know, everybody know. Let’s see in 2 years from now.
