I think Detroit is mostly auto work these days but I don’t know if any of the higher end creative is done in Michigan anymore as I think a lot of the holding cos have made global agency groups (Global Team Blue for Ford etc) for the car accounts and I think a lot of the cool stuff goes to LA/NYC agencies.
I think I’m GR you’ve probably got Amway/Herbalife etc and maybe some work for Steelcase or Knoll but even that I’m not sure about. Lots of hospitals in town but idk wheee their agencies are based. There used to be a cool agency there called Kantor Wassink but I’m not sure if they are around.
GR would be my choice on where to live though.
Lafayette American out of Detroit is giant. National and local clients, all range of industries. The creative output and agency culture is the real draw.
You’re welcome and yeah, they’re the real deal with plenty of awards and caliber of people that could work anywhere. Say yes if offered.
Welp. Gm left the city others than Monks and Rapp. It’s pretty desolate.
Laid off from Doner earlier this year. Detroit has nothing and what we do have is impossible to get into.
