There is no perfect age. Young people have the benefit of energizer bunny energy. Old people, if they've point their points into the right stats, are able to manage the stress and head home at the end of the day and do something else without bringing their stress home. I dare say, they enjoy the challenge of the work. Old people are sick like that.
Young, because it ages you. Alternatively, and if you have credibility in your industry, older provides you an edge.
Either before having children or when the youngest is old enough for high school.
Agreed that this was a big factor when travel was merciless. When you have an independent spouse and children that are not expecting you to be there every minute and have their own lives, it makes travel for a bunch of late nights a lot easier.
Switched to Consulting after 50, with industry experience, MBA and PhD. Best decision ever. I definitely feel valued.
Around 21-22, when they still have time to decide to NEVER to go into consulting
MBB - young, need to work 20 hrs a day
Boutique - old, need experience
