What’s the salary difference for you that makes it worth it to jump to a similar role?

In this day and age, I’ll take a lateral jump in pay (and even slightly less) so long as it’s fully remote.

like

I rejected a 20% pay bump today because they bait & switched me in the offer letter for 3 day rto from fully remote. 75 minute commute each way via 3 modes of transportation isn’t worth it.

like

25%+. Both times I’ve jumped it’s been 30-45%

I would consider a lateral if I could stay remote, otherwise need 30%

like

If the job is 100 onsite vs my current job which is hybrid and SUPER flexible, the pay bump would have to be 75% or higher. I really really value the hybrid role mainly because it allows me to be present for my kids activities (middle and high school).

I went 128k->160k

I went from a base of 150 to 205 earlier in my career

Recently jumped for equivalent base but faster upward mobility.

Bruh

Bruh - that’s 37% ?

Math ain’t mathing

Sorry 🤣
I thought I saw 100k

25%+ and we’re having a conversation. Anything less is hard to justify. Dependent on remote/perks/benefits that can maybe make up if it’s less

Lateral for 100% remote.

PR Groups. Might need to fire ours. They aren’t forward thinking enough for our brand and the reach we want to attain. Small, innovative shops would be nice without a shit ton of overhead. Local not necessary. But overall creative thinkers that aren’t just order takers. Got any good references?

Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. Any advice?
