Software Sales: How long did it take back then to close your first deal?

Hi there! I work for a tech start-up and I've been tasked with revisiting their compensation philosophy and propose a better structure. I think this will also require me to revisit job titles, existing talent and tenure, performance, career paths, and the organizational structure. Any useful tips as I tackle this big undertaking?

Hi HR Professionals! I am revising our current employment application form. Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. Internship Program Help: Hi Everyone! I’ve never worked for a company with any type of internship program at all, let alone a really successful one. My new company thrives off our internship program, with many of our managers/directors having started as one themselves. I’d like to create more of a structure to this program but not even really sure where to begin. Also don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, but would love to hear some tips or even better, maybe have a quick chat if willing?

Can someone tell me if a HRBP III is more senior level than a HRBP I? I’ve never really dealt with those titles so I am a little confused!

Young professional with 3 years of retail banking experience, 1 year of claims experience, and now roughly 6 months into insurance sales. Between selling in retail banking environment and every month of insurance sales regularly pacing 200% or over to goal. Loving comp but not loving the call center environment and hoping to move to another lucrative sales position with less non stop calls. Any suggestions?

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..

Would you:

Go for a perm position for a large manufacturing company recruiting assemblers and Machinsts in aerospace. 70k

Or

Temporary contract with the government recruiting for various low skilled work with higher than average wages. Min 82k with possibility of extension

Hello! Will be receiving a $400 stipend from my new org for office setup. I currently have a 15” 2015 Pro, my husband has a Lenovo, I’ll be provided with a work laptop, we have a used office desk.

Any recommendations on what I should use the stipend for? Hubby was suggesting a printer because we don’t currently have one, but I feel like I don’t really print that much anymore and I’ll be working remotely.

Hi!! I’m an HR Coordinator currently (about two years of experience) but my job has so many responsibilities and tasks I’m beyond burnt out. It’s truly impossible to focus on one task because things are constantly being thrown my way. I’ve heard whisperings of a promotion or raise, but my workload is already too much, I don’t know if I’d want to accept more responsibility. Is it normal to feel like you have just as many responsibilities as your superiors who make 30k+ more than you?

Hello everyone! How do you manage holiday pay when the holiday is on a Saturday/ Sunday. For example, if I have someone working on Christmas (Sunday), they should be paid 1.5 but what if they work on Monday as well?I know this might sound silly to some people but I’m covering for payroll for the holidays and I don’t want to mess up!
