What’s the timeline between interview and hiring for product role at Google? I am a Xoogler and I have a final round with a startup, but I just got an initial round for arguably my dream role at Google. I was impacted by a layoff at my company and I’m coming up on a deadline to find a new role, and my preference is to work at Google over a startup.

Is it a norm to send a thank you note through your recruiter? I had an iffy interview, and wondering if I bother sending a thank you note. It was very clear that they were trying to do a stress interview so I feel weird saying the usual nice things.

Completed onsite interviews for the TAM role and recruiter gave me feedback that my technical depth wasn’t up to par for the role but my googleness/leadership and GCA interview feedback was stellar so they plan to propose me for Cloud PM roles instead. Does this happen? Or are they just being nice? What’s the probability that they’ll match me to another role?
