I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?
I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

DoD work and clearances don't mean much to us as we don't play in that space very much.
If we did....we would still hire the people with the correct skills and then look at clearances
I would highly recommend searching this bowl for the word “referral”.
In general, we don’t provide referrals to those we don’t know. Someone who can personally attest to your work is better. A random/blind referral means almost nothing, as we have to write a statement of support and why we think you’re a good fit at Google.
