Works at Huron’s Healthcare practice. Travel M-Th and work from home Fri. Huron allows that. Amazing culture, especially in the Medical Group segment. When it comes to WLB, we practice what we preach. It’s been awhile since I’ve worked on a weekend.
I haven’t really looked at Industry opportunities in Tampa. What’s your industry? Can you stay in consulting and still move to Tampa? It’s really nice down here. If you like the city, check out Hyde Park and South Tampa.

Life science / supply chain is my focus area but honestly open to change.

LS is not big in Tampa. There are a few small pharma firms here. Not sure worth pursuing. Do a quick google search. Good luck!

Unrelated to LS but Disney and Universal are both huge employers in Orlando. Probably have some solid supply chain roles

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

Hi guys,

I am into java full stack development with 4 yoe.
I have two options
Accenture with 11.8 fixed + 20% variable. (Has joining bonus)
Amadeus with 16 fixed.

I am more concerned about the technology (angular, java, cloud), learning and job security.

I am confused between them. Please suggest. TIA.

I worked in Congress for 4 years, in politics, as a lawyer and now as a consultant. I’m interested in doing work for public and federal clients, what firm could be best fit for me to transfer to?

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!

Cross posted: Has anyone ever heard of this type of real estate private equity fund structure:

-One LLC, so only one PPM
-Multiple investors that can be onboarded anytime
-Multiple investments that investors can determine whether or not they want to invest in
-One K-1 per investor based on their investments and income
-Ability for the Sponsor/Fund to invest directly, indirectly and in equity, debt, Pref, etc.
To me this seems extremely cumbersome and would require multiple classes of (cont’d)

I lived in tampa in my early 20s and am now in my late 30s and looking to move back. One of the reason I left is because I felt I had too much energy for the city for a single young professional, but now husband is from there and we have a kid but we are both social people. Do you guys find it easy to meet interesting people and has the city gotten any more fun?

Snowbird here, heading down soon. What fun things are happening Labor Day weekend?

Anyone else enjoying the river walk?
