Copilot integrated into O365 is a huge accelerator. Being able to feed it directories of RFPs and tell it to match prior experience to a new RFP request--as just one use case--has saved a lot of research time. Problem is the implementation of these tools and their feature churn is really high right now and it doesn't seem to work consistently day to day. The other is it does take time to prompt engineer. The constant belief that this stuff is magic and doesn't also take a bunch of effort is overstating some of the efficiency gains. Though they are there.

Agree

I ask AI to enhance certain emails and consolidate notes. I’ve asked it to write policies or advise on certain topics and usually (not always) it’s pretty good.

I’ve found Copilot to be really helpful in finding specific pieces of information across different Microsoft products.

For example, I ran into an old client yesterday who asked me to put some time on his calendar. Six months ago I had his EA’s name, but I wasn’t sure where it was. Copilot looked through my email and hand-written OneNote notes and found where I had hand-written a name and then someone on my team had coordinated with this person to get on his calendar. It would have taken me (or my EA) a long time to pull all of that context together to find the right person.

I’ve worked at the same well known tech company since I graduated school 8 years ago. I’ve been promoted 3 times so I’ve held a few different jobs within my org.

BUT .. I’ve applied to a few companies and getting no responses. Is it a deterrent for hiring managers/recruiters that my experience is based primarily at one company?
