It's something I think about. We've gotten used to algorithms sending us what we want to read, for instance. But society was better off when everyone read a newspaper every day. On each page there were a number of stories and you'd wind up reading about things you didn't know you were interested in until you saw the article about it and started reading. People just naturally broadened their interests. Now people are fed things to their taste, and as a result we have an ignorant population fed by disinformation and rage baiting. That's a clue to the future AI will lead us into, I suspect.
I often feel like we’re caught in a balancing act between embracing technology and staying true to our human instincts. While data-driven decisions can be super helpful, I worry that they might overshadow our emotions and intuition. It’s like we’re becoming more efficient but maybe less connected. What do you think?
