I left a very large firm to work for a small firm for a lot more $$$ (only 8 folks in the audit dept). Schedule is flexible, I get an office, benefits good, but these small firm clients BLOW SO HARD

Read about so many crazy salaries here in the consulting bowl. Then go to Reddit antiwork and read about people working jobs with more responsibilities making like 30% of my pay.

How do people survive on less than $25/ hour. I’d feel like I’m in poverty on those wages. And I’m my only dependent.

I’ve billed a lot this year. I even cancelled a staycation to bill more. I did everything I could. And then today a partner told me to go “that extra mile” until the end of the year, when I should be finally going on vacation.

4th year big law associate here (the most jr. of the group). I feel as if I’m treated as a senior associate’s personal assistant. Constantly asked to prepare signatures packets for one off documents, compile one off documents, etc. all for deals I’m not even on. I feel I shouldn’t be doing these administrative things at my level but maybe I’m being a brat. Curious to know what types of work — from a responsibility standpoint — other big law midlevel associates are doing. Thoughts?

Do we have anyone here working at data science team at Sia Partners as a senior consultant or supervising consultant role? Currently I am interviewing with them and wanted to get sense of pay range for senior/supervising consultant role.

I have been requested to specifically develop of satisfaction survey directly related to management/supervisors and how they are perceived by the company. This would not only be new, but completely outside of the timeline we typically use for our surveys. Although I am excited to build it, it also feels odd that I am creating a survey targeted towards finding weaknesses of leadership. Am I thinking too much into it? What are your thoughts?
