Those are great theoretical points, but not sure that they manifest themselves practically. From personal experience, people with unlimited PTO love the policy. The pressure, judgment, etc. seems to come from company culture - which comes independent of the PTO policy. Happy to be corrected

Industry? What round of funding? Do you research for job security and stability man.

How much are they paying ? Are they well funded ? How long ago was the funding ? What are they Into?
Read this article recently and thought it seemed counterintuitive. With the info you stated, I'd give it a whirl.

One key reason was that staff were simply not taking the time off they were entitled to. “Putting a numerical limit on holiday time has a counterintuitive effect,” Gateley explained in a blog post on the company’s website."
