Maybe you’re bad at consulting. Consider switching jobs
I would be bad at a lot of jobs, but I’m pretty good at this. It’s not shameful
Been there. I think you’re relatively new, sometimes for introverts consulting can be pretty darn heavy and takes a couple of years to get used to.
I’d say if you’ve made up your mind to leave then try to be fearless for six months and see how it goes.
Love the advice of being fearless. I think introverts especially those who are very sensitive overthink way too often which makes the job more difficult than it already is.
Consulting is bot for everyone, just think like that. You will find something else that fit you better. Hang on my friend
I enjoy consulting.. but I think this is more like just a life thing consulting just being like the breaking point. Sometimes it feels like everything is a struggle..
I've been in your shoes. Turns out, it was the company I was working for, not me. When I changed jobs, it was like night and day. I am finally appreciated for what I do and have been promoted several times. Maybe it's time for a change of atmosphere.
Then maybe it's just a bad timing, just keep pushing and don't think about it too much I guess
You would need to evaluate how you are doing and how you are getting beaten up. You need to take action if you hav anything to improve upon from ur end. If you feel others are beating you up, you can try to change the environment and circumstances. And if you feel others are getting wat they want, try to understand how they are achieving those things. Study things carefully
What do you mean by level up? As in upskilling or getting a promotion? In terms of promotion maybe they are doing something you’re not. I was shafted promotions because a lot of analysts in my group had a lot of +1 activities as well as certifications. I would just do client work and log off. I’m not upset about it, but it kinda put into perspective that consulting in general requires a lot of other activities other than your job description. This made me realize that I’m done with consulting and will be moving to industry
Trying to move firms and nothing is working out right now.
I enjoy consulting, fought tooth and nail to get in..
Just tired of life lol
