my secret is realizing the source of the critique. If it is coming from someone who has my best interest, I will be all ears. if it is coming from someone who is lateral to me or in no way invested in my progression, I will bring that critique to my immediate supervisor to seek guidance. Realize that criticism is a part of the growing process. nobody is perfect! we will all make mistakes and growing pains hurt. Realize that people generally mean well when they critique. Jot relevant notes. take appropriate steps to rectify and mitigate like mistakes. You'll be fine when you realize that your job is not your identity but a means to an end. Look in the mirror and tell yourself (and believe) that you are open to criticism so long as it elevates who you are in the end. Keep an open ear and if you need to step away to scream into the abyss do just that. BUT promise yourself you'll dust yourself off and come back stronger! YOU GOT THIS!
I honestly got to a point in my life where I just didn't care anymore. I think it is one of those things that ruly does come with age but you kind of just stop caring about the opinions of others and it feels pretty great.
YES. I think it’s some combo of time + repetition + experience + trial and error (for folks willing to listen to feedback) and maybe biochem/hormonal?
