I wouldn’t call someone who behaves that way a “rockstar.” A rockstar is someone who is outstanding at their job and also personable/likeable/team player. The “rockstar” you describe sounds much more like an 🍑🕳️ than a true rockstar. And no, i hate working with 🍑🕳️s
Pro
Haha, fair point! True rockstars definitely bring both skill and good vibes. No one wants to deal with an 🍑🕳️, no matter how talented they are.
I go with slow and steady! Personally belong on that team anyways. The ‘rockstar’ team always seems to have a lot of ups and downs, and that is really hard to work alongside. It’s like there is only so much good to something impressive or outstanding when it’s pulling teeth to get the basic things done too.

Totally get that! Consistency can be underrated, but it’s what keeps everything running smoothly. The drama with the “rockstar” types can definitely wear people down
I’d go with steady performers. I hate the egos that go along with overachievers frankly. I’d rather have a group that’s reliable, consistent, and drama-free, momentum adds up over time. That said, a mix of both is probably ideal! A few rockstars with a solid foundation of steady performers is the dream.
Pro
Totally agree! I’m also not a fan of the egos that often come with rockstars. A balanced team really does sound like the best of both worlds — steady progress with bursts of brilliance when needed.
I would stay reliable and steady peformers honestly. I have been part of both and the team of "rockstars" tend to have more drama in my opinion.
Rising Star
I hear you! A solid, steady team can keep things running smoothly without the drama. Rockstars are great, but not if egos and chaos get in the way of real progress.
