I’m hoping to steer clear of any scams by posting & I know it’s been posted before but, again, scams. Am coming from the B2B tech advanced analytics space. Have also thought about consulting IC work, since it can be very people-forward. My goal is to make my daily people-first rather than code-first. Since I like corporate and helping folks and projects grow, analytics management seems ideal.

My ASM is lazy and is incapable of doing the easiest basic tasks with recruitment. She receives all my end of day updates, is cc’d on all emails, makes me fill out 5 repetitive excel/smart sheet, and joins all my meetings but she still wants to call having me 5x daily about updates. I’m always the one to go to if other recruiters fail to meet client deadlines and cleaning up recruiters mistakes. How do I even handle this to begin with?

Anybody have experience neutralizing or even co-opting powerful skeptics? My team is in the cross hairs of a major player with an axe to grind. I am trying to speak their language and frame my team’s value in terms they value but I still feel extremely vulnerable.
