3 YOE Java backend. Joined a Tier-2 bank (12LPA+), but work is unstructured—no KT, minimal development exposure, mostly patch fixes. I’ve solved 400+ LeetCode (bruteforce→optimal) and covered all major DSA concepts except graphs and segment trees, yet I keep forgetting approaches. No system design exposure. Can’t switch now; targeting Dec 2026. Need guidance on backend skills, DSA retention, and system design prep.

How often do you all review your rates? I’m 6 months into partnership and my rate is the same as it was two years ago when I started at this firm as a 4th year (currently had a license just over 6 years and the 5.5 I’ve been in practice are all domestic relations)

There’s a debit card that I’ve been using for the past 4 years and it beats out some of the cash back credit cards. It’s the Cash app debit card. I haven’t heard people talk about it in the card community and it could save people a bit of money - 10% cash back. I posted about it on my Instagram HerMillennialMoney if you want to learn my tips and tricks with the care.

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
