Is it standard to get revocation notice for H1B petition from older employee after transfer and approval of the petition with new employer? Has anyone here faced it before or know what does that mean?

My h1b petition has been filed may I know what will be next process and what are the chances for its approval?

Hi I’m at the start of my H1B. Currently in a job that I don’t find much fullfillment and wanting to make a career change but it’s been hard with the current environment. I also feel really out of the place in this city and have very little friends or support group. I’m not sure if it’s worth staying in the states or what my next step should be (always wanted to go back to law school tho). Any words of wisdom or encouragement? Would greatly appreciate all suggestions.

On H1b visa. If i am waiting on h1 visa transfer to join another firm, when do I have to give notice to Deloitte?
The guideline said employment at will, so can I give notice today if my start date in the other firm is tomorrow (example)?

If someone has an appointment for first time H1B with an approved I797A with company A and goes for an appointment for stamping (I797A from company A). Meanwhile that person receives a job offer from company B and H1B transfer process has started while they went for an interview. Would there be any issues while doing the stamping interview?

PS: The person is still employed with company A at the time of the interview.

Deloitte onboarding E-mail says , it background verification is not complete by target start date , they can postpone the date last minute.
I have 14th march as a start date and I don’t know my background verification status.
I emailed BIONBoarding but no response.
How am I supposed to give notice to my current employer without knowing BGC status ?
Please advise if someone faced this situation.
(P.S. I don’t have any record, just being cautious because I am on H1B/work visa)

I have 10 yoe in Mainframe. cctc-10L. I have below 2 offer:
infosys - 22.29L.
JPMorgan Chase - 27L, still negotiation going on (also have h1b visa if that matters in negotiation).
I am planning to join in JP Morgan. This is going to be my first company switch (working at onshore since last few years) so wanted to know below things:
1). Is 27L is good enough for 10 yoe resource ? I have seen people joining 24-25L at 4 yoe.

My h1b petition was approved till September 2022. I was not able to get it stamped through previous employer and now my current employer is willing to transfer the H1b. Since the petition got expired can someone guide me what is the process for this ?

Received an offer at a pre-IPO company going through hypergrowth that I intend on accepting. The offer is a ~40% raise that exceeded my annual target salary range by 2.5k (company would not disclose budget for the role so I had to provide one) and I’m genuinely happy with the offer, but feels like a mistake not to negotiate.

What other levers can I pull? I’m thinking sign-on bonus/relocation and asking for more stocks options. Benefits are otherwise pretty comprehensive (including visa).

Hi everyone! I received an offer a week ago, signed it, then recruiter wrote me next steps, congratulation and that Immigration team will write me. A week passed, no emails, nothing. Big network, holding company. I’m new to the US market, is it something to worry about or I should start to worry in the mid of April? :)))

I have an approved I140 for audit position and I transferred from audit to advisory within the firm. Now my PD just became current. the firm attorney think I am still able to submit 485 application due to similar job duties and same OES code. I noticed the SOC code did change between my two H1b filings. I asked the attorney but they don’t think it matters as similar job duties and SOC codes are linked. Should I worry about it? I still work in the same entity and location, but title was changed.

Looking for hope & exceptions with this situation my inlaw (German citizen) is in. They came over on Fulbright and now is on O1 but in exile back in Germany. I know it’s a long shot but has anyone been in this situation and transitioned to permanent US residency? They are married to a US citizen and have a kid (born in US). Immigration attorneys are not super helpful on precedent.

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then? Is there a way of bypassing the H1B lottery? I was told by an external recruiter that if I joined their London team, after a year I could go through H1B process without the lottery. My preference is to remain with Deloitte and transfer - can Deloitte put me through without the lottery? Are there stipulations such as minimum tenure or degree types etc?

Anybody with a priority date of mid-late 2015 that is considering switching jobs? I have an offer that I was about to sign, but saw that priority dates for filing in EB2 are already at sep 2014 this April.
