I’m a CA fully paid by a team but technically work as a Business Manager (can’t officially change my title/enter EGP role until I’m fully licensed). I’m thinking about moving to IL but I’m concerned about pay. As a Business Manager—anybody know what the average pay is?

I have 7.5 years of experience if this makes a difference. Appreciate any insight!

I will possibly be getting a machinist role through some contacts, and I have no experience in the field and I’m wondering what I could expect to make, when I look up average salaries for a machinist position I see around 65k but that seems too good for my age and experience so I’m wondering what some others in the trade on here are making

Does anyone teach in class elementary, middle, or high school and also teaches college level? If so, how did you get the college level job? I have a masters and specialist degree and teach in class. I also want to teach college level online but have a hard time either finding a position available or applying. I’m now in the middle of my doctorate degree though it’ll be another year before I’m done.

Any LMS recommendations for corporate training scheduling/ logistics? I work for a staffing company and we have large groups of internal employees (recruiters and account managers) who come through training at different points in their career - it’s a pretty manual process right now as we’re tracking in Excel spreadsheets… Looking for a system that can automatically create training groups based on tenure/ promotion dates. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’m an accounting advisory M2 in Los Angeles and hoping to find a position around $150k in industry. However a recruiter said that’s too high and I should be looking more around $130-140k, I can’t tell though if she’s being honest or just hoping I’ll take a smaller salary so that she can get an easier commission. Thoughts?

I’m a new senior manager in tax. Just got promoted this year. How do I know that I’m able to get to partner vs the firm seeing me as a sm only? What can I do to differentiate and also how do I prevent being overworked? I’m scared I would say I’m interested in partner, but then the firm seeing me as a workhorse and not promoting me. I feel like I want to spend my first year becoming more tax technical and building up my management skills. Then consider asking my coach about partner potential.
