I'm studying proton therapy (radiation) and it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen. The fact that we can target tumors with so much accuracy is incredible

It is very impressive and also much more precise, since proton beams can be better directed at a tumor, so that there is less damage to surrounding healthy tissue.

It is amazing how much progress is being made with respect to this disease that is so difficult to cure, I hope that more advances of this magnitude will follow.

You, the normal of today is the sci-fi of yesterday, I can't even imagine what we'll have to our disposal in 20 or 30 years

And we're only getting better at itevery day!

Glad we're slowly but surely developing new ways to help people with cancer, we're still a long way from full-on cures but the needle moves a little forward year after year. Only a matter of time before it's a thing of the past

Hi Isabel! I find that during the week I can stick to a healthy diet, but as soon as I'm home I revert back to unhealthy eating. Any tips on how to maintain the self control throughout the weekend?

I feel like I'm in a vicious cycle. I'm exhausted all. the. time. No matter how much sleep I get, no matter how clean I eat.

I'm heavy and want to exercise but I'm fighting fatigue to even do work. Weight is coming off with clean eating so there's that. And so slowly.

I'm looking for and am going to go to an endocrinologist - I'm female and hitting 50 and a bit scared how badly the fatigue is.

Anyone where I'm at that have solid things that have helped?

Hi everyone,
So I had my NIPT and NT scans last week and I’ve been getting pieces of the results back from my doctor in the patient portal. All seems okay but I’m a bit confused. Does anyone know if FirstScreen is the same thing as NIPT? I was under the impression that NIPT was in 90th percent of certainty for Down syndrome but the result we got, labeled FirstScreen indicate 83% certainty so I’m confused if there are more results coming? I messaged the doctor but haven’t heard back yet.

My gut feeling is that I should just stay in IB for as long as possible and only leave until I truly feel ok with the possibility of never working in IB again.
