What many people are missing is that everyone must report to an office, regardless of where they currently live. However, the number of required in-office days (2 days or 8 days a month) depends on which office you choose to report to. So instead of relocating, you could simply pick offices like Delhi, Chennai, or Pune and visit them just once a month for 2 days before returning home. In fact, you could even plan smartly—travel to Pune towards the end of one month, complete your 2 days for that month and also for the next, and then head back. This way, you’d only need about 6 trips a year from your home location and avoid relocating altogether.

But they are planning to increase the days in satellite locations also soon. That’s concerning
You just can't report to any office. It has to be the office to which you're tagged. Any change in office location tagging has to be approved by your practice MD/ leadership and HR.
It is company’s responsibility to increase office spaces in those cities. They can’t keep doing things as per their convenience all the time. Think of the employees at least once?
You are correct, people are unnecessary crying for 2 days a month whereas most of the company have already made 5 days from office mandate and that too complete shift. And I personally feel this has started because few people were not honestly following the work from office policy, used to demand exception or were visiting office for 2 hours swiping cards and then returning home which were causing inconvenience for the HRs to approve unwanted exceptions as it is additional work so now they will become free from this work of approving exceptions via email and Workday.
Monkey see monkey do is not a solution. We are very underpaid comparatively, were promised work from home forever.

Talk to HR about reporting office, few months back they were okay if you could visit any office as long as you were working from office as per WoW guidelines, not sure if that has changed but better to confirm with HR, if they agree would be better than relocation
