A candidate apply for a role. Before any interview scheduled, profile is first run through an AI. Strong experience on paper.Relevant skills.
Good past employers. But the AI flagged the candidate as high risk – low retention probability. Because of that flag, the recruiter never moved the profile forward. The candidate never got an interview And no one could clearly explain why the AI made that decision.Should AI be allowed to decide who gets an interview before a human even looks at the resume?

No, a human should review resumes before final decisions are made, that way the whole recruiting process is fair.

But that is not efficient when 500 plus resumes are provided

Isnt it a decision for recruiter to make?
I think in current market, it doesnt hurt the company because they can find solid candidates anyways

Bain & Company I received an offer to join Bain & Company for SF office but due to family reasons, I will have to stay in the South Bay. Given Bain’s local staffing model, it will be challenging for me to commute to SF and back. Is it possible to be transferred to the palo alto office/is that office fully functioning or does it mainly serve as a hub for partners and research?

No, you’re not. Better yourself.

How do you get out of the burnout cycle? I’ve felt overwhelmed for a while and now I’m in the “can’t function at all” stage. It’s so hard explaining this to my manager because I already have a workload that’s lighter than others (not because of performance or my request). Any tips on how to get re-engaged, since the overwhelming feeling will come back?
