A Director role is opening up on my team pretty soon (I’m a Manager, so one level difference). I’m a very high performer. I plan on applying for the open role and have expressed interest to the incumbent and the LT. I’m talking to the right folks to develop and become promo ready. What else can I do to make myself the best possible candidate?

I think the leading competition will be mostly internal hires - experienced Directors from other teams, and other high performing Managers on my team.

Parking at Gurugram office has become a problem big enough to start thinking of another job. It’s so inconvenient to imagine taking public transport in 48 degrees. How can you expect employee to come office and not offer parking or cabs? It’s like employer asking you to work without a laptop.

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. The recruiter said they'd be making an offer but it's now been three weeks. Anyone else had the process drag on like this? Meanwhile I'm taking other interviews and was offered a promotion at current company, but was very interested in this one. What would you do?
