A job i applied for the salary range for the role was advertised as €38,000 to nearly €50,000. While I understand I haven’t held the formal title of 'Team Leader,' I’ve consistently operated in that capacity throughout my 10 years of experience which there aware off. Is there flexibility to discuss the starting salary, or is it standard company practice for new hires to begin at the base and progress through set increments?

i think you can leverage your 10 years of experience and negotiate. Title is one thing but the skills you have determine the value you bring to the table which determines how much you get paid. They're gonna start on the low end no matter what, with your experience - I would negotiate.

Depends on a multitude of factors. The company itself and their practices regarding negotiations, the job being sought, and how well you can articulate your value to them.

Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice
