A pre-teen girl turned to me on the bus and randomly asked, “Why is bullying bad?” I said that bullying hurts the person being bullied as well as the one doing the bullying. The person being bullied has their feelings hurt, and learns to meet new people by distrusting and fearing them. Bullies hurt themselves because that way of treating people may get them what they think they want in the short term, but they stick themselves in a dark place and over time find that they are really alone.

Hi, I have an offer with Horizontal Integration, client is Target, but Horizontal's payroll.

Is it good to accept this offer? I'm considering WLB and job security.

I consolidated grad loans in ‘15, kept federal separate from private (w SoFi @6.75%). Can I refinance w SoFi or w Earnest? Should I combine the federal and lose the protections for better %?

Struggling with a decision. Just started a new role with good manager and WLB within healthcare technology. But another large tech firm/cloud/software reached out and willing to pay 20% more. Not sure what the WLF is for this other role. Should I take the better paying role?

Can we do a quick round robin of salaries for folks in the Seattle area? Currently making $146K at Starbucks. 32 yo woman. Yes, I know the comparison game is unhealthy, but my hypothesis is I don’t make all that much compared to others which might justify why I am not motivated to work beyond 9-5pm. Former consultant here who took a pay cut so am looking to NOT grind.

I'm not sure what else I did other than being respectful and not giving flip at the same time but (4) mature ladies in my office flirt with me every chance they get. Some of my M colleagues are beginning to notice and giving the prod. I must confess it comes with some perks as I do appreciate how fast they process my requests/orders which a M colleague literally told me is biased. Recently one of them offered to bring me her cooked food and asked that I do the same..(Cont'd)

My partner and I are moving out of our condo building in NYC at month end, and the building management (not our landlord) has communicated to us that, on top of the 1K non-refundable fee and 1K security deposit to move out (stated in lease), they are also issuing a $1,250 "sanitization fee" for the public areas (hallways/elevators), since we happen to be moving out during COVID19. We feel this is taking advantage of tenants during this time and may not be legal. Any advice helps!
