McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

I cook but I only have moderate interest in food so that's out to lunch. Any idea on how to be professional in managing these kind of scenarios in the office?

OP I have/had this problem with the older moms in my sister’s and brother’s school. I’m their legal guardian so I’m the youngest “parent” of the class by about 8-10 years usually. So the moms flirt (one VERY aggressively that I recently posted about lol), but I put up with it cause we do car pools and stuff.
From my experience you got two options: be friendly but always do things in groups so you never give anyone the wrong impression. So this coworker suggesting an lunch? Make it into a potluck for the team.
For anyone who becomes very aggressive or inappropriate, best to just tackle that head on. Address it clinically. Say I’m only interested in a professional relationship and your behavior is crossing a boundary that would negatively impact that relationship. Much easier to do since this is a work situation.

Bruh just do it. Find a recipe and be nice. And treat it as a nice interaction. That’s it, that’s all. The benefits will outweigh the negatives in the long run… esp if you like them as people in general.
