A recruiter from a major global company recently bombarded me with 4 emails, 15 calls, and 45 texts in three days - and some were sent very late at night. When I called her back, someone else answered. This extreme behavior led me to cancel my interview and withdraw my application. Was this the best way to handle overly aggressive recruiter behavior?

Whoa, that’s wild. I’ve had persistent recruiters, but nothing to that level. Withdrawing sounds like a sane response... recruitment should be a conversation about a job opportunity, not a stalk-a-thon.

Not sure if that was a scam or somebody completely unhinged. Most scams I get, they move along if you aren’t responding. Here I am wishing recruiters would get back to me, but I guess I should be careful for what I wish for!

There are aggressive recruiters out there, but this sounds pretty bizarre. My first thought is that someone is using an AI tool to send out text messages and they actually think it's reliable. It's probably best to pass on working with them, there's obviously something going on that doesn't make a lot of sense.
