I have a great job offer of 160k at a great firm with 10% bonus. My current firm pays 118k with no bonus. I had a passing conversation about how we are losing people and I’m like well it’s the market. Then he made comment yea but there’s nothing we can do. It’s just coming out of partners pockets. I was feeling kinda bad for planning to quit, but after that comment, maybe I shouldn’t feel bad? The partners do what’s best for their pay then so should I? I am just feeling really worried about it!

I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

Thoughts on leaving firm after 6 months based on it not being the fit? New lawyer. Learning a bit. Would’ve preferred to stay a whole year just to get it done but management, workload (in light of salary), and commute a problem.
I am planning on spending 2 weeks in a country with no travel restrictions (Dominican Republic) and then fly to the US. Would I be able to enter the US with an H1-B visa without any issues?
I am burnt out at my job, don’t feel like coming in anymore. Recently got an interview that went really well, prompting a second interview in the next couple of weeks. Don’t know if I should hold on to my current soul sucking position until I get confirmation of a job offer or bet on myself and give my 2 week resignation now. Any suggestions?
Just left as a consultant to a SF tech startup.
$210 base + bonus with 200K in RSUs (vesting over 4 years) and $30K sign on. Can anyone comment on the comp vs benchmarks for tech manager roles
Anyone ever successfully negotiate their partner cash distributions? I’m a very new partner, yet running and growing a book far greater than average size for the firm. Am I stuck in the basic new partner comp structure for~ 5 years or is it reasonable to expect I’ll get compensated for my contributions today? I’m tired of chasing carrots; what’s a reasonable/ “fair” % of my book to expect allocated to me each year? Is 20% asking too much? I’m tax at a top 6 firm.
Dear fellow fishes,
I am looking for opportunities in the USA for the roles of product owner/ Product manager. I possess 14 years of professional experience with 10 years of relevant experience.
Any leads for referrals with visa sponsorship would be highly appreciated.
Fyi - I currently have a h1b visa, expired, and can be renewed out of cap.
Gotta love a recruiter that makes you feel like you’re insane when you tell them your day rate.
How have others gone about asking for a salary/market adjustment if you believe you’re not being compensated fairly?
I have been an attorney for a little over a year and have worked at my firm since graduating law school in 2019. I am very unhappy in my current position and with my firm overall, and I have started looking for a new job. The State Bar is hiring attorneys in the Office of Chief Trial Counsel. Any thoughts on whether working for the State Bar is a good idea? Terrible idea? I’d love any insight before submitting an application.

Imagine a potential client takes a new job in a new firm in a new city. Through no fault of his own, he suffers a few health and personal setbacks, which the firm is aware of. In the midst of it all, the firm unilateterally and substantially changes the terms of his employment (with significant implications to his compensation, obviously to the firm's benefit) and then starts to put the pieces in motion to fire him for cause.
1. This industry is bonkers, right?
Getir vs Gojek
I got an offer for SDE for both Getir and GoJek in India. I want to understand about Getir as a company, its work life balance in India and appraisals, possibility for remote work.
The Tc offered in both is somewhat similar
Gojek: 32 LPA + 3L joining bonus + 6L performance bonus
Getir: ~ 41LPA (just for verbal confirmation)
Got a call from Oliver Wyman UK for the first round for the role of technical advisor/solutions architect. What to expect? what to prepare? Currently working with a boutique consulting firm in London.

Would like additional thoughts. 27M soon to be 28. Moved to Chicago from LA ~3 yrs ago. Debating if it’s worth exploring NYC/BOS or if I should go back west. Reasons for wanting to leave Chi due to culture fit. I find it hard to relate to ppl here of all ethnicities. More so, I find it interesting that I’ve been “discriminated” against by Asian Ams out here bc of my tattoos and “Cali Asians are trashy and ghetto”. I don’t think NYC/BOS will have the same issues but wanted more opinions. Thanks!

JP Morgan Wealth Management - Private Client Advisor. Any word on base salary? Bonus/commission structure?JPMorgan Chase
JPMorgan Chase folks, how long does it take after accepting the offer/contract to getting contacted by the premployment screening team ? I have been waiting for a week now but I was told it is triggered automatically after 24hrs to 48 business hours after the acceptance. I have called my recruiter and they said I should check my spam folder which had nothing. Any indications here ?
I’m an analyst & have been working towards associate – I was recently offered an associate role on a different team, but simultaneously am feeling burned out and thinking of leaving the firm within the next 6-8 months to work at a smaller company. I feel somewhat guilty about leaving my team, but know I have to prioritize my career
Hello all, this is my first post! Currently at US Bank as a mortgage officer and looking to go to Chase. I’m on the third rd of interviews for a Relationship Banker position and have 7 years Military leadership experience, 7 years sales which include 3 years mortgage lending. One year left to complete my MBA. Should I make the move or stay where I’m at? And what is the typical salary and commission to be expected on the offer letter? Any information would be great.
Hello friends, looking at a JP opportunity and hopefully going into the offer process after today’s interview. What I need help is understanding the comp structure in non front office roles ? In Goldman we have PATC ( per annum total comp ) which is nothing but base + “promised” bonus % + RSU.. how do you have total comp defined in JP ? the bonus also a % of base and almost agreed upon ? Example my bases is 200k and bonus is 25 % etc ?
