I have a great job offer of 160k at a great firm with 10% bonus. My current firm pays 118k with no bonus. I had a passing conversation about how we are losing people and I’m like well it’s the market. Then he made comment yea but there’s nothing we can do. It’s just coming out of partners pockets. I was feeling kinda bad for planning to quit, but after that comment, maybe I shouldn’t feel bad? The partners do what’s best for their pay then so should I? I am just feeling really worried about it!

Hello friends, looking at a JP opportunity and hopefully going into the offer process after today’s interview. What I need help is understanding the comp structure in non front office roles ? In Goldman we have PATC ( per annum total comp ) which is nothing but base + “promised” bonus % + RSU.. how do you have total comp defined in JP ? the bonus also a % of base and almost agreed upon ? Example my bases is 200k and bonus is 25 % etc ?
