A role I’m about to start interviewing for was permanent when I applied, but is now listed as a contract position. Before going through with it, I'd like to find out if the job's expectations changed along with the employment status, without sounding ignorant. Does anyone have advice on how to bring this up?

Just ask. You don't need to tiptoe around this, it's perfectly reasonable to want clarification. Just say something like "I noticed the listing changed from permanent to contract, can you walk me through what changed and what the expectations are for the role now?" They won't care.

Did you apply through Workday? Sometimes Workday will let you open your application and you might be able to see the original Job posting there. Not 100% sure but might be worth clicking around to see

What does your offer say? You should be able to tell from the offer letter

They don’t have an offer but are about to start interviewing

It won’t sound ignorant to just ask—it’s a very fair question. I’d much rather someone reach out and ask than go through the interview and then tell me it’s not what they were looking for. I’d reach out to the recruiter, express your concerns about it changing from permanent to contract, and see what they say.

Hello all, my first post. Anyone else feel like their general manager won't promote them because they're afraid you'll make them look bad. Like they don't do their job well enough so you'll outshine them? Do you stay? Leave? Try to build the relationship? It's been a year. @Aimbridgehospitalityllc

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
