I interviewed for a position in industry. It got to the point where they brought up salary. They told me the range and it was shockingly low. This would be a lateral move from public to industry but the high end of the range was 30% lower than my current salary. I was frank that the salary was way too low and that in all honesty it was way too low for that level of role. It’s crazy that some companies are so out of touch with market rates especially in this job market. You have to pay for talent

Im a CPA, left public accounting after 1yr for FP&A and now IR. Not really using my CPA. mostly just a credibility credential now. Worth pursuing a CFA if I don’t intend to go into investment management? Is there a reasonable path to investment management with my experience? So my 18yo daughter who just started college texted me that she wants to do solo Europe travel in December and mom (my ex wife approved it).
