That’s classic. Consultants love to belief that they are suffering from imposter syndrome. But most are actually imposters- so you get nervous because you are never sure about your own buzzword laden nonsense. Like I get if you are just starting , but after 10 years- bruh that’s a big problem
It’s a fascinating thing. I have never seen an engineer unsure about doing a demo or an architecture review after 10 years of doing the work. But a con is always a con
I have seen seasoned engineers give confident demos that don’t solve any issues and can not translate to business needs. I absolutely see the same with seasoned consultants. Being nervous is good, It means you care about the impact. Continue to focus on the audience and remember that your job is replaceable and only serves the business end goal, consultant, engagement manager, engineer, anyone.
