Annoyed with the constant pulling of different directions then being asked why certain things weren't completed. Ummm maybe cause uou pulling me everywhere but where I should be. I love my co-workers though.
I feel frustrated with some of the people on my team who can't seem to keep up with deadlines. I hate feeling like a micromanager but I don't know how else to motivate my team members without monitoring their progress. Any advice for me??
Are you managing a nursing unit?
Tedious? Audits without action plans. I can audit whatever, but if audit results aren't good I enjoy implementing something that works and making things better. Too often, audits are handed down as if that solves the problem. Example auditing if central lines are charted on appropriately. Charting never prevented a clabsi. If clabsi rates are high let's get to the origin of that issue and come up with a solution, no? So that's tedious. But actually improving patient outcomes I enjoy.
I am the nurse manager on my unit and love so many aspects of my job. I hate having to do performance reviews on staff. They make me very uncomfortable but it's a requirement of my job.
The most tedious part of my job is dealing with bureaucracy. There is a lot of paperwork involved in healthcare, and it can be frustrating to deal with all the red tape. ButI understand that it is necessary to ensure that patient information is protected and that healthcare organizations are compliant with regulations. Hmmm the part of my job that I enjoy the most is working with patients and their families
Having to manage other managers and directors in regards to their timeliness.
What I enjoy is the variety in my work - I’m constantly working on new projects and no two days are the same.

Even in a small clinic with 3 bosses running, I am only being pulled by 1 who is not even doing her job, cries that she does alot but hardly in the office (the bosses get better days off) & throws all of her responsibilities on me & gets mad at me when I make ONE mistake! Mind u, 2 of them wrote a P.I.P 2months ago! Ever since then I've been searching for another job. I really hope I get called. Now on the other hand something good would be about our clinic is, we have been trained to be independent the 3 bosses are hardly in the office & when they are not, my coworkers & I have fun while getting the job done in peace. That is the upside.
