Is MGMA datadive access worth the cost for salary negotiation info?

Depending on what salary data you're looking for, MGMA data dives are worth it in my opinion.

If you're at a company where you're able to submit their data, the data dive is provided free. First year was a lit of work, but after that gathering and submitting data was pretty simple.

Hope that helps.

Question for consultants- Why don’t more of you go independent and work for yourself?
Given the discrepancy between what you get paid and what the company bills the client, you could meet in the middle and both make out great. If you have one or two clients that have work long term, you will make far more money, have less stress because you don’t have to deal with the logistics of 2 companies and have far more control over what work you do. ESPECIALLY if you are a consultant who is actually good

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

Interviews need to be monitored and recorded. I can’t tell you how many disappointed dreams I have been sold. It is a complete waste of time to really wait around to be wishful of a call. I was recently offered a clinic manager position at physiotherapy clinic I work at. I tried to negotiate a fair wage (they were only offering 37K salary for full time position as CLINIC MANAGER!!). Apparently that’s the starting for any clinic manager but I feel like that’s really getting low balled. Obviously I declined the offer as it’s barely a living wage to support my family and it’s 50 cents more than my current wage so it doesn’t make a big difference. Any CM’s out there to compare with?
