Intermittent FMLA. Doesn’t need to be in 1 block of time
Rising Star
Take it week by week. Three months paid leave is amazing. Do it. And make sure to schedule time to sit and chill w your parent in front of the TV (or whatever). No talk about appointments, etc. Just chill. I would have loved paid time off to be more present when I was caring for mine.
Thanks for the advice. And I’m so sorry you’ve had to experience this.
Find a cancer support group near your mom, start there. You are not equipped to deal with chemo if you haven’t been through it. Support? All day long. Be there when she needs you? Absolutely, but you’re out of your comfort zone here. Seek help. There are many willing to reach back to you but you must take that first step. Good luck, and stay strong. Don’t neglect yourself in this process.
