I am an experienced CNA/MA (17yrs) trying to break into ER tech role. Previous company wouldn’t pay for phlebotomy class, and when I took a position with a company that would train me, there was so much drama and b.s.
I was out of there so fast because of the toxic environment. Should I just forget it and do my best to finish my RN?

I'd continue where you are but it doesn't hurt to look elsewhere and see if there's a better option that would offer better working environment while also sponsoring you. How long until you get your certificate?

like

Definitely pursue the RN!

Unfortunately the drama and BS doesn't stop at RN. But I would encourage you to complete it. You have a lot of clinical experience already and the considerable bump in pay (and status) is worth the cost in time, money, and stress from school.

helpful

Where are you at in the nursing program? Definitely continue to pursue that, it will pay off.

Pursue an RN license or parametric.

I would personally finish it out because in the long run, it'll mean better career prospects

I definitely think you should pursue it. I think you have already made a tiny step closer so it would be best to just continue and finish what you started. Hope everything goes well, OP!

Do you need phlebotomy to become an er tech where you live? I just started as an er tech and while I have previous phlebotomy and iv experience, they train you without a phlebotomy cert. I would say pursue your RN while working as an ER tech. It’s great experience!

Not strictly a consulting/exit opportunity question:

I have been approached a few times this year in random places (grocery stores, parks) from people who casually mention obtaining “financial freedom” and looking to quit their jobs. They have used other buzzwords like “mentorship” and “asset management” but when asked to elaborate, they can’t do so. It also doesn’t sound like your typical investment like stocks. Is this some type of scam?

Hi guys, I am working in a niche management consulting firm. Had completed MBA in 2021 & started my career since June'21. As my first client I am working with a crypto exchange as a PM.
It's been 9 months & I feel like I missed the whole "people switching into better pay roles & companies readily hiring folks at inflated salaries" phase of 2021.
I don't know whether to try to switch & aim for more money, or wait & build some experience in one firm atleast. Earning 13lpa right now. Need advice
