Hello Fishes - I have worked in Intel Corporation for a year but not as direct employee. It was my client location. My direct payroll was LNT Services. How can I take benefit of Intel Corporation as I was NOT a direct employee there. Can I mention in my resume. If yes, how and what to mention in my resume?

It’s a matter of presenting yourself in a way that shows your marketing skills. As an art director, you’ve been involved in the development of the work, but you need to demonstrate your ability to create the strategy, and the marketing plan behind it. That includes everything from budgets to sales to media. It also depends what level of a job you’re looking to apply for.
I would say that a move to Account or Strategy would help you to be able to tangibly say you’ve worked on the areas that the SVP mentioned above. I think it will be very difficult to convince someone brand side otherwise, even though anyone with agency experience knows that in your role you are definitely capable of doing so. I was an Account Director before moving over and it wasn’t easy. An MBA would also help and offer connections to companies, but not a dealbreaker depending on industry. For CPG for example, you likely need an MBA unless entering at a very junior role.
Thank you! Wow, I would have thought account director to marketing manager would have been a fairly easy shift. Did you get an MBA? Or what helped you transition?
