I did not but yes I agree with what you’re thinking about. I have spent good amount of time in Germany and everyone is annoyed with 45% tax and yet not getting good healthcare. Basically if you’re not dying they will put you in months long list versus in the US where you’ll be treated well. Also since there is no to zero private company involvement so research is really restricted. That’s the reason why Canada does not come up with new medicines. Speaking of Bernie, his ideas are too good to be true. He is like Santa of Mer ca, we all know doesn’t exist. Communism is extreme but I don’t like the leftist ideas because it just creates lazy people. Look at West Bengal for example, Calcutta being one of the most powerful cities to almost a failed one now, because politics is so left focused. Also, in US you still get medical treatments if you’re poor or don’t have insurance but just in life threatening ones which is fair right because I think if someone is poor or doesn’t have a job in this country is their fault to begin with. I know this might not be a popular opinion but I have center right views and don’t believe in freebies, of course helping disabled and those in dire need is a different story but if you’re smoking pot and chilling in your home I don’t want to pay for your diabetic treatment. Rather save on tax for my kids .

Yeah I get what you’re saying. See he also needs to come up with borderline racist things to sell his ideas. By no means I support that kind of act but that’s how politics runs and it sucks
It’s not borderline ...it’s blatant. Plus he is a convicted criminal who pleaded guilty to a crime. It is politics as usual , as long as people tolerate such behavior. Either way, i think it’s a bad example of an immigrant contribution to this country

I don’t think one person’s action impacts a community. Is he a racist .. sure, is he an embarrassment for his parents?.. maybe . But to a community no. Personally I hate this “ we as a community should be embarrassed by” concept.
Community is made by individuals...you can’t be proud of Gandhi and distance yourself from rotten apples. And if you think one person’s actions impacts a community, maybe you should look at the history of mankind and every policy ever written. Even courts use precedence to discuss landmark cases
I am kinda proud of him because he expressed his opinions and managed to find disciples to support him. Right or wrong, for me it’s wrong but for someone else they could connect with his views
I think we have gotten into a tendency to dramatize every small event and In return trivialize some of the greatest leader and important historical events . That is a discussion for another time .
you are right one person action does impact community, and the community is ashamed when it enables that person. This is not the case here . A lot of immigrant did know even this person nor responsible for his actions.

if he would have won ww2 things would have been different. Likewise, I have few Brit friends who tell me they were taught that the queen made global trade possible and the only purpose of the colonies were to empower them to trade. Now to this D’Souza guy, remember he has some opinion which is appealing to certain sections of the society( think of him as those those owaisi brothers in India) I am proud that he is making an impact (positive or negative doesn’t matter to me) . People like him stimulates the society and always in a positive way, that’s the reason democracy is powerful

I disagree with most of your comments. For example, Thinking that universal healthcare and free education is a “leftist” idea. It is only a leftist idea in the United States. The comparisons to Calcutta and West Bengal make no sense, I’m sorry.
