Singapore has one of the lowest recycling rates among developed nations in the world (please don’t POFMA me).
However, your block should either have dedicated recycle bins or blue bins. Ours is in the loading bay. All trash that goes into those bins will be separated and recycled.

Low recycling rates come mainly from contaminated plastics. That doesn’t mean you should not throw all (clean) plastic items into the recycling bin. What can be recycled will be recycled.
The biggest problem is that most recyclable waste gets thrown into the rubbish chute because people believe “it won’t be recycled anyway”, or simply don’t care.
