Anyone knows or can shed light on what a VP or SVP role is at Deloitte? Never heard of this title in a consulting firm..Partner equivalent in sales? Comp range? Thanks in advance Deloitte

I think VP is a technical or alliances related role (think product owner), and equivalent to SM. Guessing SVP is the same, but MD equivalent or slightly lower?

Interesting then that everyone else is saying what I did….

That’s Deloitte cute of saying you are not going to be an equity partner and we will make you feel better with made up titles…

Never saw a SVP, but VP is mostly for alliance and equivalent to Senior Manager

It’s usually a product, or enabling role for the alliances.

VP is an SM - one of ours interviewed for it thinking it's a P role and then didn't take it once she realized what the role is

Not a direct equivalent as Cap isn't a partnership. VP is similar to a local MD whereas EVP usually denotes a more senior geographic/global role.

Also comp range varies WILDLY. VP comps start at $280k-ish and can go pretty damn high ($500k-700k ish).

I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Thus far, he’s landed interviews with (all in Houston): Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, Kirkland, Winston Strawn, Reed Smith, Norton Rose, and Locke Lord. Also Perkins Coie in Dallas. He’s leaning transactional, but also open to litigation. Any insights/advice on these firms in the TX market? Any to avoid?

Creatives who left for tech. What is it exactly that you do now? Is it still writing or art directing? Or a different creative role? Hearing about people leaving for tech so I want to know what it means exactly aside from the benefits.
