I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

Guys, I interviewed at amex gurgaon 10days ago and was told by VP that I will hear from HR very soon. But when I checked on HR yesterday, she said interviews are still in progress and it will take a week more to finalize.

Had an interview, the interviewer asked why do we need streams jdk8? Told following answers:1. It allows functional programming by filter, map, reduce way of applying operations on collections.
2. We can use intermediate operations for lazy iterations n ternary ops for finally giving out desired output, jvm can improve performance for intermediate ops.
3.reduction of code that we hv to write n ease of passing behaviour in stream function.

Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling. What is your opinion on this topic?

My Senior Manager quit on us a couple of months ago, now my manager just did as well yesterday.

I'm in a small firm, where there is no one with tenure anymore. The new Senior Manager just started and does not know the clients either.
