If you’re managing an engagement and something out of scope comes up and you ask someone on the team to help with it and they say they can’t get to it until X day because they’re busy with other engagements but it can’t wait until that day what is your response? A. Tell them they need to fit it in and get it done in this timeframe; or B. Try to find someone else to help who has no background on the engagement; or C. Do it yourself even though it’s really a senior/staff level task. Cont below…

I'm looking for some feedback to share with my former boss.

He has not been able to replace me since I left in November. He is insisting on his EA being in the office 5 days per week. He's asked for a call with me to discuss what he can do to attract a solid EA. Besides me saying, "Please consider this as a hybrid role," what else can I tell him? What are your compelling reasons for wanting to be hybrid/remote?

I would like to hear your experiences working in an EA service center. In office but remote to the executives you support. I am having trouble adjusting to the noise and the high school level politics. There are 50 EAs in a call center desk setup in one large room.

Is the EA role fading? What other roles can I transition to with 6 years of experiences as an EA?

Any tips on asking for a raise? I’ve recently taken calls with several recruiters and discovered that I’m likely underpaid by about 15%. I just got an 8% raise and I got the highest performance rating two years in a row so I think I’m in a good position to ask. I work for a large company, 300k employees and have about 27-28% left until I hit the max range for my role)
