Interested to hear other peoples opinions on this but I generally hear two criticism about Salesforce: 1) not able to do niche things well (billing, sales quota, or specific sales ops for some very niche industry) 2) over represented as a key to every company’s problem instead of focusing on strategic planning, market research, and competitor analysis
If it isn’t in Salesforce, it didn’t happen.
One CRM to rule them all
I agree. What would you propose as a solution?
Hire really good salespeople you trust to do the work. Let them do the work. If they produce keep them and reward them handsomely. If they fail or don’t do the work cut them loose. Don’t play favorites. Work merit only. Your DSM knows who works and who don’t. And on work with will know exactly what’s up with how you run your route. Weed out the bad and pay the good. If you pay well and respect the good ones they’ll stay and it will pay off.
I actually feel like SF could be a great tool. If management would let it be a tool. Problem is at Sysco and only Sysco to my knowledge they make it a chore and a babysitting tool for them. I personally could like it if I could use it for a tool.
