Are any of you shopping for a new wardrobe or additions to your existing one for the next year? Where are you shopping and what does your lookbook look like, in a few words? I feel the intense need to switch up my style and wear different clothes going into 2025 but not a clue where to start. I sort of wish I could speak to a stylist .. for free :D

For me, I’m going for more classic looks of higher quality and made sustainability - in short clothes that will whether wear and tear and trends. Trying to get out of the fast fashion cycle that is awful for the environment and my budget.

Agree with above more expensive but higher quality items. Re-wearing them to get my cost per use down.

I went to Nordstrom this past year and worked with a personal stylist and it was transformative. They’ll want you to throw some money down but the stylist has introduced me to new designers who are great for my body type. I was very classic Ralph Lauren / Jcrew style but they showed me how to have fun with a bit more “street style” and I feel a whole new wave of confidence.

Department stores have stylists who work for free (they don't charge for their time/expertise). They can be a BIG help.

Nordstrom is a favorite- they’ll work with your style, budget, etc

I'm not necessarily unhappy with the firm I'm at, but have started looking into in house opportunities, as I've seen some interesting openings. Is front end web dev a lucrative career choice? Currently in the commercial banking industry but don’t enjoy it a ton, enjoy learning basic front end web dev because I like the control and creative aspect of it, was curious if I should just keep it as a hobby and keep a stable banking job or possibly look into trying to prepare to make a switch in a few years. Thoughts?

“Experienced Hire” with 7 years of advisory technology consulting. Possibly looking to switch firms. Have no idea if I’m in the range, over or under market level on comp. What’s a good going rate for base plus bonus range? Currently 150k base with about 25 in bonus, but the bonus has accelerators which puts me closer to 180/190 in total comp.
